Cooling System Assessment
An educational institution wanted to assess and upgrade its aging data center infrastructure, particularly its HVAC systems, which were approaching end-of-life. The project included an evaluation of the existing data center layout, heat load, and server capacities, and an evaluation of upgrade strategies for the hardware and infrastructure. A comprehensive design solution included thermal and electrical load calculations, BIM modeling, HVAC equipment design, and BMS/BAS controls. The project will position the university for the computational growth needs of the future and improve server reliability and heat management.
