“At the core of my approach is a blend of a people-focused mindset and a results-driven attitude. Before Hargrove
Keithtrik’s post-secondary educational career kicked off with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Houston, followed by an MBA in global leadership, where he gained a solid foundation in engineering principles and problem-solving skills.
“My very first official job out of university was working as a corporate electrical engineer for Shell Pipeline Company in their Houston headquarters,” said Keithtrik on the launch of his career. From there, he transitioned to Kinder Morgan, where he specialized in capital expansion projects within the midstream sector.
“After going back to school to obtain my Executive MBA from the University of Houston, my experience eventually opened an opportunity to become the Global Director of Engineering at Stolthaven, where I oversaw all engineering and maintenance operations across the company’s global terminals. Now, I find myself at Hargrove, drawn here by the opportunity to contribute my expertise and be part of an exceptional team.”
Working at Hargrove
Since 2019, Keithtrik has been a central part of the Hargrove Controls & Automation team, embracing challenges and opportunities with enthusiasm.
“At Hargrove I’ve worked on many different types of projects, including a greenfield project that progressed all the way from FEL 2 through commissioning and startup. It was a multiyear project full of its own special challenges,” Keithtrik said of one of his most notable projects with Hargrove. “Over the next five years, I’d like to continue to challenge myself with more complex projects and add on a few more certifications to complement my Project Management Professional (PMP) credential.”
“Being part of the Hargrove team is like diving into a pool of innovation every day,” said Keithtrik. “Challenges are seen as opportunities, successes are celebrated together, and the pursuit of excellence never stops.”
“I have had the pleasure of working beside Keithtrik as a peer and supervisor. The wealth of knowledge, compassion, innovation, and drive he brings to the Hargrove Team is not unnoticed,” said Doug Sumpter, C&A Leader of Projects. “Keithtrik shines as an example of humility. He never flaunts his achievements. He is always patient and listens attentively to best understand every situation. He brings guidance and a path forward to his Team, always giving credit to his Teammates. I look forward to being a part of his career development. I know he will continue to do great things.”

Beyond his professional life, Keithtrik is proud to be involved in youth sports and his local church. He cherishes time spent with family and friends, indulging in hobbies such as playing golf, cheering for Houston sports teams, and outdoor cooking. Married for over two decades, Keithtrik and his wife share the joy of raising their three children.
When asked about the best advice he has ever received, Keithtrik responded with “Life is a ballet. Keep things in perspective.” He exemplifies this in his passion for travel, exploring new cultures and landscapes to broaden his horizons. “I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to take on new challenges and drive positive change.”
